Lamello LC P-16 P-System Connector Starter Set

For use with Zeta P2 Handheld Joiners or CNC Router with P-System tooling.

The LC P-16 is a specialized Lamello P-System connector for lightweight panels such as cardboard & plastic honeycomb, MDF, and hard foam. The main advantage of the LC P-16 is that it eliminates the need for concealed edges. Designed for builders, fabricators, and interior specialists, the LC P-16 combines the advantages of lightweight construction with the efficient and aesthetic Clamex joint.

The LC P-16 acts as a receiver for Clamex P-14 connector halves, creating durable joints in lightweight panels. Using a Zeta P2 joiner with an 18mm depth setting and 2mm adjuster cap, grooves can be cut directly into honeycomb materials. For precision, the Clamex P drill jig with interchangeable P-16 insert ensures perfect alignment, while a CNC with P-System capability can also be used.

Once installed, the LC P-16 allows you to connect panels just like any other Clamex P connector. The results are strong, clean joints that look professional and hold up under demanding use.

This set includes (20) LC P-16x11 connectors, (20) LC P-16x17 connectors, (20) LC P-16x22 connectors, (20) pairs of Clamex P-14/10 connectors, a positioning clip, a Clamex P drill jig, a depth adjuster cap, and an Allen key.

Installation Instructions

These instructions are for the Zeta P2. Can also be done with a CNC. It's always best to confirm with your CNC's manufacturer to determine what all you need for making the P-System groove.

1. With the Zeta P2 depth set to 18, and the 2mm depth adjuster cap installed, cut the 16mm grooves in your workpiece edge.
2. Use the Clamex P Drill Jig (sold separately) and the P-16 Insert Element to create the 6mm access hole.
3. Remove the depth adjuster cap and set the Zeta depth to 10. Make the surface grooves.
4. Insert the LC P-16 connector into the machined groove, then slide a Clamex P-14 connector half with the lever into the LC P-16.
5. Insert a bottom half Clamex P-10 connector into the surface groove.
6. Assemble the joint by sliding the two workpieces together, then locking the connector in place via the 6mm access hole with a 4mm Allen key or Clamex Installation Tool (sold separately). See secondary images as well as the “Video” tab to learn more.
