The E20 is a self-clamping connector that works with any Lamello Biscuit Joiner, making it an easy upgrade to your joinery applications. The E20-L is ideal for surface connections like picture frames. Each connector has curved ridges that lock it in place once it’s inserted and tapped with a hammer, giving you a secure, hassle-free hold. These connectors eliminate the need for clamping glued workpieces and waiting for them to dry, saving you tons of time in the shop. 

For an E20-L surface connection, start by positioning your two workpieces where they need to be, with the back sides facing up. Clamp them together and cut a 4mm groove across both pieces so each one holds half of the slot. Apply glue to the edges, bring the parts together, and tap the E20-L connector into the slot with a hammer. As the ridged, angled profile slides in, it locks the joint securely and draws the workpieces tightly together in one motion.
