The Nova SI 4 Sliding Table Saw is a true workhorse designed for every professional shop. Boasting a 10.5 ft. slider and 5.5" thickness capacity, this saw can handle anything from large sheets of plywood to heavy timber framing. Featuring a redesigned and more robust sliding carriage, the Nova SI 4 is built to provide exceptional accuracy, smooth cutting performance, and lasting durability for years to come.
Smooth cuts and exact accuracy are paramount on the Nova SI 4. To ensure maximum accuracy and effortless movement, the carriage guide rails are secured using a specialized aluminum riveting process instead of adhesive. This eliminates the potential for glue thickness variations, resulting in smoother travel and consistently precise performance. An integrated track system allows the user to lock the table in at any position.
Along with a maximum blade capacity of 400mm, the Nova SI 4 also features a scoring unit that accepts a 120mm expandable scoring blade. The scoring blade makes a preliminary cut designed to give the main blade a cleaner cutting path. This prevents tear-out and is excellent for smooth, chip-free cuts in melamine and veneered plywood panels.
The Nova SI 4 features a telescopic squaring fence with two flip-over stops for fast referencing when cutting workpieces with the same dimensions. This fence also features a swinging arm support, a steel idle roller to help with panel loading/unloading, and a metric ruler tilted towards the operator.
All Nova Saws come with a 10-year warranty on the sliding table.
Utilize SCM's Thundercut App to get the most out of the Nova SI 4. This app is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems, and allows you to:
- Manage stock material and guides you through the cut
- Create and modify projects, import projects from the main furniture design software ("cpout" file format), and import cutting lists
- Choose different cutting patterns based on the app's suggestions, such as "minimum waste," "maximum speed," etc.
- Set cuts based on the app's 3D sequencer that guides you with step-by-step instructions
- View machine configuration in 2D or 3D
- Print panel labels
Warranty
SCM warrants that every machine is free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year beginning on the date the machinery is accepted by the customer. Belts, bearings, and common electrical parts carry a six-month warranty. This warranty does not include wearable items or maintenance required in the ordinary course of operation.

Squaring fence with 2 DRO flip stops
-Each stop features a detecting system and micrometric adjustment, and is equipped with independent electronic digital readout on LCD displays. The stop can be positioned close to the blade with a minimum distance of 350mm.
