Cabinet and custom millwork shops, furniture makers, and door and window manufacturers all utilize shapers to cut, shape, and profile wood edges. The Minimax TW 55es can handle any shaping, routing, or tenoning application you desire. This 4-speed heavy duty machine features a tilting spindle, sliding table on hardened steel guideways, and adjustable fence with micrometric adjustment.
The Minimax TW 55es is the culmination of years of experience in manufacturing quality solid wood products. The hood has memory pins so if removed, it will go right back into the same position, making this shaper accurate and repeatable. A wide sliding table rides on hardened steel guideways. This is the same design SCM incorporates into their high-end sliding table saws. The sliding table greatly increases the shaper’s versatility, and makes tenoning operations as easy as can be.
Tooling capabilities are endless on the TW 55es thanks to the interchangeable, tilting spindle. Users can create angled cuts between 45° and 90° simply with a straight cutter, which also saves costs from needing to purchase expensive, specialized cutters. Custom and crown moldings are therefore a breeze to perform!
The Minimax TW 55es features a fence with reference pins for easy repositioning and numeric readouts for micrometric adjustment. It also comes with a miter gauge with flip-over stops for angled cuts and eccentric clamp. The flip-stops adjust along the fence for repeatable accuracy by creating easy to use reference points, while the eccentric clamp securely holds the workpiece in place.
Also available with a 4.8HP, 1-phase motor.
Optional Installation & Training
When purchased, installation will be performed by an SCM factory-trained service technician or certified dealer technician. Installation is defined as assembling the machine to its "ready-to-run" state; it does not include floor/masonry work or running electrical, pneumatic, or dust extraction services. Training will be conducted on site by the technician after installation is completed.
Warranty
SCM warrants that every machine is free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year beginning on the date the machinery is accepted by the customer. Belts, bearings, and common electrical parts carry a six-month warranty. This warranty does not include wearable items or maintenance required in the ordinary course of operation.
