Compact, robust, and filled with features, the Minimax SC 2C Sliding Table saw is ideal for serious woodworkers and small shops looking to upgrade from a standard cabinet saw. This saw couples a small footprint with a 4HP motor, an impressive 40” x 12.75” cast-iron worktable, and a scoring unit. Built for small shops, advanced hobbyists, and training environments, the Minimax SC 2C Sliding Table Saw delivers big-shop precision without demanding big-shop space.
The SC 2C comes standard with scoring. This allows you to not only accurately cut panels, but cleanly cut them too. This is important when cutting particle board, melamine, laminated panels, or anything else that will have some sort of edge banding. If you are cutting solid wood, simply drop it below the table surface independently of the main blade. A 12” main blade capacity is featured without having to remove the scoring blade.
The extruded aluminum rip fence is attached to a thick, cast-iron knuckle. It rides on a large steel round bar, and is locked in place with a cam design for maximum rigidity. It micro-adjusts into place via a rack and pinion design.
Utilize SCM's Thundercut App to get the most out of the SC 2C. This app is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems, and allows you to:
- Manage stock material and guides you through the cut
- Create and modify projects, import projects from the main furniture design software ("cpout" file format), and import cutting lists
- Choose different cutting patterns based on app's suggestions, such as "minimum waste," "maximum speed," etc.
- View machine configuration in 2D or 3D
- Print panel labels
