The Festool RTS 400 is a compact, one-handed finish sander designed for precise work on flat surfaces, edges, and tight areas where control matters most. Weighing just 2.4 lbs., it’s especially well-suited for vertical and overhead sanding, reducing strain while maintaining consistent contact and finish quality.

Powered by an upgraded 250-watt motor (25% more power than previous versions), the RTS 400 delivers efficient material removal without sacrificing surface control. The stepless variable speed adjustment lets you dial in the right aggressiveness for everything from fine finish sanding to light stock removal. Festool’s vibration-stop balancing system minimizes hand fatigue, making it easier to maintain a smooth, swirl-free finish during extended use.
