Oneway’s 1224 Lathe delivers big-machine performance in a compact footprint, offering exceptional stability and build quality for small-capacity turning. Its four-bearing spindle system minimizes both radial and axial play, giving turners smooth, accurate performance without the maintenance demands of traditional setups.
The headstock features a 1"-8 TPI spindle with a machined groove for a lock screw—an added safety measure that helps prevent chucks or faceplates from loosening during use. The spindle nose extends about 1-1/2" beyond the headstock for better tool access, especially when shaping the backside of a workpiece.
A rigid, easy-gliding tailstock supports precise work, with a 1-1/8" quill and 3" of travel. The tailstock clamp is engineered to resist flexing under pressure and stays properly adjusted for the life of the machine, ensuring consistent, reliable operation. The fully electronic drive system provides variable speed from 0 - 4,000 RPM with full reverse, using an AC inverter package designed for smooth ramp-up, ramp-down, and dynamic braking.
All Oneway Lathes feature their patented banjo/tool rest base design, created to solve problems associated with traditional cam-lock bases like deflection. Oneway replaces the regular long cam shaft with a sliding cam assembly. The tool rest is clamped into the tool rest base with a captured non-marking block. This sliding cam clamping mechanism ensures tight clamping and smooth operation.
All Oneway Lathes are backed by a 10-year END-TO-END Warranty. This warranty covers everything: the motor, drive, belt, switches, bearings, electrics, etc.
