Designed specifically for the North American market, the Formula S 440P Band Saw has everything professional shops and serious hobbyists need. This versatile machine can handle delicate or tight curved work, along with heavy-duty resaw operations. This robust band saw features a 4.8HP single-phase motor, 17.3” resaw capacity, and 16.3” cutting width. The 20.5” by 28.3” worktable can tilt up to 45° for angled cuts!
The Formula S 440P comes with upper and lower Europeans-style guides, which allow for quick and easy adjustments without the need for tools. They can be adjusted up or down to accommodate the table's tilt. When you are not tilting the table, you can raise the guides all the way up to decrease the distance between them, maintaining maximum stability through your cut.
This machine boasts plenty of features. Thick cast-iron wheels are perfectly balanced to reduce vibration and produce a fly wheel effect to aid in the processing of your pieces. Heavy-duty steel frames are the most rigid in their class and are designed to withstand the tension required for a carbide-tipped blade.
The Formula S 440P also has vulcanized tires that not only bond the rubber tires to the wheel, but also fuse them so they become like one, which means greater transfer of power. This also makes it nearly impossible to shred them if a blade breaks, and there is less wear and maintenance over their lifetime. Two dust ports are included on this band saw, not just one like most others. This helps ensure that you will capture more debris, more efficiently.
Note: Blade not included. This band saw accepts blades between 153" and 155.5" in length, with a minimum width of 1/4" and a maximum width of 1".
