The Details:

Makita’s 6-1/2” Cordless Circular Saw combines a brushless motor with Automatic Speed Change Technology, which adjusts cutting speed and torque to the application. Cut material as thick as 2-3/16” with ease. Combine with an optional guide rail (sold separately) for absolute precision.

This saw has a variable speed of 2,500 to 4,900 RPM that is adjusted with a dial so users have ultimate control. It also features soft start and an electric brake for added convenience. A bevel capacity of -1° to 48° and positive stops at 22.5° and 45° makes this saw extremely versatile. Constant speed control enables a consistent smooth finish under load.

For improved efficiency, the saw is AWS-capable, meaning it can wirelessly connect to an AWS-compatible Makita Dust Extractor. When the AWS-equipped tool is turned on, the AWS-equipped dust extractor also turns on. When the trigger of the tool is released and stops, the dust extractor stops as well. AWS is intelligent communication that eliminates cords and excessive noise since the dust extractor runs only when the tool is running. Requires AWS Transmitter (sold separately).
