Mafell Drilling Station BST 460

Mafell's Drilling Station revolutionizes drill jigs with its iris-like roller guide system that completely prevents deflection. Its lightweight but rigid single-column design offers unprecedented accuracy thanks to its stability and unobstructed visibility when drilling. BST Drilling Stations are compatible with 1/2" chuck drills with a 43mm (approx. 1-11/16") collar.

Instead of a traditional chuck, the BST 460 uses six vertically-located iris-like rollers. These wheels perfectly center and squeeze the drill bit from all sides, preventing any backlash or bit drift for flawless holes. The system also has an adjustable polyethylene cable that automatically returns the drill to its starting position. This saves time and reduces operator fatigue, especially when drilling horizontally or making repetitive holes.

Note: For absolute precision and safety, it is best to pair your Drilling Station with the BST Parallel Fence. The fence keeps the station square, protects against drill torque, and accurately positions holes a consistent distance from the edge of the workpiece. It is also ideal for end grain drilling.
