The D4R Pro is Leigh's premium model dovetail jig. Rout all types of variably-spaced through dovetails, half-blind dovetails, sliding dovetails, and box joints (finger joints) with ease. The benefits of variably-spaced dovetails are not only their classic hand-cut look, but also the flexibility they provide. It all begins with the guide finger assembly—the heart of the D4R Pro Dovetail Jig. With unlimited pin and tail spacing, the jig easily fits your project, not your project having to fit the jig. The "split finger" design of the assembly enables infinite spacing and sizing of pins and tails.

Use the D4R to create through dovetails in material between 1/8" and 1-1/4" thick, as well as half-blind and sliding dovetails in material up to 1-1/2" thick. A spacer rod sets the fingers halfway apart for machining 3/8" or 3/4" joints and 9/32" or 1/2" deep half-blind joints in a single pass. The eccentric guide bushing simplifies fitting joints by letting you quickly and precisely change the distance between the cutter and finger assembly.

The one-piece CNC machined aluminum body of the D4R Pro is extremely strong, yet light for portability. The cast metal end housings are used to secure the jig to the mounting board or workbench. Workpieces are held securely against the non-marring clamping surface by tough cam-action clamps. Rear and front side stops are machined into the D4R Pro for accurate board positioning.

This jig is packaged with the VRS Vacuum & Router Support. The VRS is an attachment that effectively captures dust and supports the area of the base plate that overhangs the finger assembly. The router rests on the channel and is positioned between two wire control arms that guide the dust chute below, keeping the chute aligned with the cutter as it traverses the jig. Fits vacuum hoses from 1" to 2-1/2" in size.

Includes three 8mm shank router bits and a 1/2" to 8mm collet reducer.
