Standard edge treatment bits only have two cutters, which often result in splintered cuts. QUADRA-CUT router bits feature four cutters—two large cutters that shear upward, and two smaller that shear downward.
The large cutters clear out the bulk of your material, leaving a clean edge of the bottom of the cut. The smaller cutters angle downward to shear the top edge of the wood in the opposite direction, eliminating the fuzzy grain and tear-out that standard two-cutter bits leave behind. This ensures a smooth, splinter-free finish that eliminates the need for sanding or tedious rework.
