SCM's most popular combination machine for years sets the bar higher than any other manufacturer. This machine has proven itself in American shops countrywide. It boasts a 5.5’ sliding table and has features normally found on much more expensive machines for a fraction of the cost. The Minimax CU 300C features five machines in one: table saw, jointer, planer, shaper, and mortiser!
This custom version of the CU 300C - T comes standard with dado capability. The machine can support a maximum of an 8" (200mm) diameter and a 3/4" (19mm) thick dado blade. Also featured on this custom version is a belt-driven scoring unit that can be adjusted from the outside of the machine without tools. This unit comes complete with an 80mm scoring blade.
This machine comes standard with scoring. This allows you to not only accurately cut panels, but you can cleanly cut them too. This is important when cutting particle board, melamine, laminated panels, or anything else to which you want to apply some type of edge banding. If you are cutting solid wood, simply drop it below the table surface independently of the main blade.
The 3-knife Tersa head and the tables pivot on a large hinge which will never go out on you. The machine is repeatable so that it goes back into the exact same position each time. The Tersa knives automatically reference into position when the head is turned on. Removal of the knives is as simple as tapping down the wedge blocks and sliding out the knives. Since the knives are double-sided, they can be flipped over, reinserted, and used again.
