The L'invincibile FS 7 from SCM combines the F 7 Jointer and S 7 Planer into one powerhouse of a machine. It features a 15HP motor, 100" jointer bed, "READY" control panel, and an additional overturning fence. As SCM's largest, most feature-heavy jointer/planer combo, the FS 7 will impress production shops and serious one-man shops everywhere.
Switching from jointing to planing is fast and fully automated. With the press of two buttons on the READY control panel, the FS 7’s jointer table lifts pneumatically, revealing a planer that’s already in position — no manual repositioning and no dust-port adjustments required. Material removal and feed speed are then set directly from the control panel, giving you precise control without breaking workflow.
All feed rollers on the FS 7 are mounted on connecting rods and guided by a four-cam support system (one cam at each corner). Each cam pivots on the same radius as the cutterhead, keeping the table chip breaker perfectly aligned with the head at all times. The result is consistent pressure on the workpiece, reduced splintering, and a noticeably cleaner finish than conventional adjustment systems.
The FS 7 comes with a XYLENT Cutterhead. XYLENT is the quietest and most durable knife option, making it suitable for heavier cuts. It significantly reduces decibel output from the jointer. It also improves dust extraction since it produces very small chips. The spiral cutterhead shears at an angle instead of cutting head on, minimizing any rippling pattern left on the workpiece.
The solid, welded base of the FS 7 undergoes a treatment called normalization, which stabilizes the metal and assures exact tolerances. All machine mechanisms are mounted, aligned, and referenced to the base. This design is superior to frames that are bolted together and have no true reference point. The cast-iron tables are machine polished and ribbed, ensuring maximum strength and avoiding problems with tables warping or breaking during use.
Optional Installation & Training
When purchased, installation will be performed by an SCM factory-trained service technician or certified dealer technician. Installation is defined as assembling the machine to its "ready-to-run" state; it does not include floor/masonry work or running electrical, pneumatic, or dust extraction services. Training will be conducted on site by the technician after installation is completed.
Warranty
SCM warrants that every machine is free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year beginning on the date the machinery is accepted by the customer. Belts, bearings, and common electrical parts carry a six-month warranty. This warranty does not include wearable items or maintenance required in the ordinary course of operation.
