For a wide range of products such as flooring, decking, doors, or furniture elements, manufacturers seek to emphasize the natural grain of wood in order to obtain an antique or textured finish. SCM's STR 32L features brush filaments that abrade the softer wood fiber more than the hard ones, revealing the grain of the wood and leaving a surface that can be stained or filled with a vast array of unique finishes.

This machine consists of two independent brushing units fitted with abrasive insert brushes and inverter controlled motors for surface sanding. Together, they sand and smooth the wood grain and thereby give the structure a softer, vintage appearance.

The degree of structuring can be changed by setting the working depth. Different degrees of finishes may also be obtained by changing out the type of brushes. Easily achieve an even structuring and pressure with the adjustable contact rollers at both ends of each brush.
