The Makita LS1019L is a 10" miter saw in a league of its own. This dual-bevel sliding compound miter saw boasts capacity, accuracy, and efficient dust extraction in a more compact size. With a unique 2-steel rail sliding system that offers a reduced footprint for operation flush against a wall, electronic speed control, and integrated line-of-cut laser, the LS1019L is perfect for contractors and serious hobbyists who need ultimate precision in a compact machine.
The LS1019L has a vertical cutting capacity for baseboards as thick as 5-1/4” and crown molding as thick as 6-5/8” in the nested position—the largest in its class. It will also crosscut a 4 x 12 at 90°. The saw miters 0° to 60° left and right, with positive stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45° and 60° (left or right). The bevel lock is located in the front of the saw for easy access and quick adjustments from 0° to 48° (left and right).
Deep and Exact Cutting Technology (DXT) is a series of features that give Makita Miter Saws more cutting capacity and out-of-the-box accuracy for superior cutting performance. The gearbox and guard system utilizes a portion of the back of the blade for significantly more vertical cutting capacity when cutting baseboard and nested crown molding. In addition, the direct drive gearbox has no belts to slip or replace, so power is transferred more efficiently from the motor to the blade.
Additional features include a see-through blade guard system for greater visibility of the blade, and a built-in laser that indicates the line-of-cut whether the blade is turning or not. This offers micro-adjustments for precise “left-of-blade” or “right-of-blade” cutting. A 10" x 60T micro-polished miter saw blade is included.
For improved dust extraction, it has an improved dust collection capability for use with a bag (included) or vacuum, like the VC4210. It also has a large-sized aluminum base that improves the stability of cutting stock for more efficient cutting.
