The FMT Pro Frame Jig allows users to make both the mortise and matching tenon quickly and easily. Designed for serious hobbyists or small shop professionals, this jig maximizes both production and efficiency. With one guide, one bit, and one setup, the FMT Pro can rout both the mortise and tenon in just 60 seconds.
Rout 68 sizes of standard inch joints from 1/16" x 1/8" up to 1/2" x 5" using 21 standard guides (some sold separately). Patented Leigh joint guides control the size and shape of mortise & tenon joints. Five guides are included that let you produce 5/16" joints with lengths of 1/2" to 1-1/2" in 1/4" increments. There's also a 5/16" spiral upcut bit (1/2" shank), all necessary tools and mounting hardware, and instructions.
The included universal sub-base is designed to fit virtually any plunge router. The table movies in any direction to position the extended sight over the marked workpiece. To rout the joint, the sub-base guide pins slide in the table's pin track and around or in the center slot of the inserted joint guide. Teflon pads on both the table and sub-base make routing incredibly smooth.
Workpieces are securely mounted onto the jig's machined clamp plate with the included heavy-duty cam action speed clamps. Quick to mount in the T-slots and keyholes, they are extremely strong and easily adjustable. The clamp plate can be tilted up to 30° for angled joints. A side stop is also included for additional support for smaller mortise workpieces—this stop can also be secured to the clamp plate in the reverse position and acts as an angled side stop for 45° joints.
