The Tenso P-14 is a self-clamping connector with three functions: alignment, clamping, and connecting. The very high level of clamping force allows workpieces to be glued without the need for screw clamps or pressure. This time-saving technique allows projects to be installed piece by piece instead of being required to glue everything at the same time, clamp, and wait for glue to dry.

The Tenso without preload clip is ideal for smaller items of furniture when only one or two connectors are used. Smaller workpieces and 90° connections in particular are easily glued without the preload clip. Using the P-14 Preload Clips prior to gluing makes aligning and engaging the two halves of the Tenso Connector very easy. These clips considerably reduce the required amount of force when connecting the workpieces. This is especially useful for applications like face frame installation on cabinet boxes or for clamping miters.

Based on the innovative P-System profile groove from Lamello, the connector also facilitates strong anchorage in the workpiece in just seconds. The two-part concealed connector meets the requirements for the implementation of a completely new connection process in interior fitting. It is an innovative connection method that facilitates an unprecedented level of flexibility, speed, and simplicity throughout the entire design, production, transport, and assembly process.

Installation Instructions

1. Cut grooves with a Zeta P2 with the depth adjustment set to 14. You can also use a CNC equipped with P-System tooling.
2. Insert each half of the connector into their respective grooves. If using the preload clips, snap those into place.
3. Apply glue, then join the two workpieces together. The self-clamping element combined with the glue will quickly create a permanent connection. (See secondary images)

Helpful tip: When applying glue, apply some to the inside slot of the female connector half. This increases connection strength by up to 25%.
