The Class TI 120 is a robust, manual tilting spindle shaper built for production shops. The tilting spindle allows craftsmen to use more creativity in designing high-end, custom products when shaping or routing. Both the spindle and the fence are set manually via the handwheels accessible on the front of the machine. With an interchangeable MK 4 spindle, the Class TI 120 is a versatile powerhouse.
A standard feature on the Class TI 120 is the MK 4 interchangeable spindle. This feature allows the use of different spindles for various tooling with different diameters. An upgrade to a larger shaper does not mean that all tooling needs to be replaced. Special tools can continue to be used simply by changing out to a different spindle. A 1-1/4" spindle comes standard. You also receive a spare 1-1/4" spindle.
The Class TI 120 comes standard with a large shaper hood with memory pins. If removed, the hood will go right back into the same position, so it is accurate and repeatable. The fences are adjusted by means of a mechanical hand crank that features a digital (mechanical) readout of the fence positioning. This convenient feature makes it simple to set up the hood for a number of different profiles and operations.
Optional Installation & Training
When purchased, installation will be performed by an SCM factory-trained service technician or certified dealer technician. Installation is defined as assembling the machine to its "ready-to-run" state; it does not include floor/masonry work or running electrical, pneumatic, or dust extraction services. Training will be conducted on site by the technician after installation is completed.
Warranty
SCM warrants that every machine is free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year beginning on the date the machinery is accepted by the customer. Belts, bearings, and common electrical parts carry a six-month warranty. This warranty does not include wearable items or maintenance required in the ordinary course of operation.
