Compatible with any router with a 3.5" diameter motor (Makita or similar brand), as well as Next Wave's 2hp Spindles (Air-Cooled or Water-Cooled) and 3hp Spindles (Water-Cooled with E-COOL technology or standard Water-Cooled).

The Shark HD520 will handle all your machining needs, whether it’s in a home shop environment or on the production floor. It comes partially assembled, and with everything you need to get set up and running: the latest version of Vectric VCarve Desktop design software, a color pendant controller, 2 hold-down clamps, carbide V-bit, Next Wave Ready2Control Software, and Next Wave CNC’s exclusive, patented Virtual Zero Unlimited software.

The Shark HD520 features a 28" x 63” table, an extruded aluminum router mount for 3.5” barrel routers or Next Wave’s water-cooled spindle system, and robust linear gantry rails. The HD520 can be pendant or computer-controlled and perfect for projects such as carving plaques, signs, ornamental boxes, and precision parts machined from wood, soft metals, or plastics.

Shark HD CNCs stand out with an impressive 7” of vertical travel on the Z-axis—giving your projects the depth and versatility others simply can’t match. While most comparable CNCs top out at just 4” to 5” of vertical movement, the Shark delivers a full 7" without jumping to a higher price bracket like other premium machines.

Plus, all Shark HD CNCs come equipped with an adjustable gantry, allowing you to handle larger, taller workpieces. Even when raised, you’ll still get the full 7” of Z-axis travel and can accommodate materials up to 9” thick. No other CNC in its class offers this extra 2” of height adjustment, giving you unmatched flexibility for your creative or professional projects.

This CNC router offers 3D carving capability with a 3D model library included. It also offers two control options:

1. Using the included VCarve Pro Design Software, you create your project and transfer it to a USB drive which plugs directly into the LCD pendant. The convenient touch screen Pendant interface eliminates the need for a computer controlling the CNC in your shop.
2. For more control interactivity, you can run the Shark HD520 from your computer with the Ready2Control program. This lets you use the exclusive patented Virtual Zero Unlimited program. This program will adjust your design to fit curves and angles that would be impossible on other brands of machines. (Computer and flash drive not included).
