The Profiset 40 EP is a 4-spindle automatic planer and through feed moulder with 10 mm profiling capacity by means of vertical spindles.
The robust machine base is made of heavy ribbed tubular sectioned steel which keeps vibrations to a minimum and guarantees long-life constant performance. Pressers placed in front and behind the top horizontal spindle are simultaneously adjustable with spindle and feed rollers. The left vertical spindle with the infeed presser group and outfeed fence are simultaneously adjustable for prompt and easy setting up.
The tubular steel infeed table with parallelogram system vertical adjustment has a hardened insert in correspondence to the planer spindle. The cast iron work tables have a low friction coefficient and are extremely hard wearing. The parallelogram infeed fence is adjustable widthwise and the reference engraver fitted to the surface planer guarantees perfect pre-straightening of the workpiece. Right fences easily adjust to optimum position according to tool diameter.
The reference engraver aids in straightening even the most difficult materials. The top beam incorporates the feed system and is made of a thick, ribbed tubular structure with manual vertical adjustment (powered as an optional). Shafts and feed rollers are made of steel with a hardened surface.
2-axes electronic control for the automatic horizontal positioning of vertical left spindle and vertical positioning of vertical top spindle. The programming is through an alphanumeric keyboard with electronic digital display. Possibility of memorizing a max of 99 programs. All adjustments of working units are controlled from the front of the machine with mechanical decimal readout of the work section.
All controls are placed on the front of the machine to enable easy access and use. The safety enclosure is sound proofed to reduce noise and dust and at the same time enables a clear view of machine operations. The sound enclosure is made of heavy-duty thick steel.
